Under the traffic light coalition government, the gas industry has shamelessly exploited Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine to build a massive LNG import infrastructure in Germany – mainly fed by dirty US fracking gas.
Trump is now putting a gun to the Europeans’ heads to force them to continue buying US LNG, which is linked to climate chaos and structural human rights violations, for decades to come.
