Noise and Consume Concept

The SCC is not just a space for learning, exchange, networking, and having fun. For a few days, the camp will also be home to a few hundred people. To ensure that living together is pleasant for everyone, we kindly ask all participants to respect the boundaries of those around them. To help with this, the camp has a noise and consume concept.

Noise

When it comes to noise, we also want to accommodate different needs and strike a balance between partying and rest. On most evenings, concerts and louder activities will end around 10 PM. On Saturday, we are planning a party with music until 2 a.m.

For those who need more peace and quiet, there will be designated quiet sleeping areas located far from the loud tents. These areas will be clearly signposted, and we ask everyone to keep noise to a minimum there, especially at night.

Consume

We recognize that people have different relationships with substances such as alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs – and we want to make space for these differences at the camp.

To support this, we will designate certain areas where alcohol, tobacco, and other substances can be consumed. In these zones, people who wish to consume can do so in a comfortable setting, while others who prefer to avoid substance use can easily avoid these areas. These zones will be close to the kiosk and the Crêpe booth and in some designated sleeping areas. The exact locations of these zone will be clearly marked on-site and shown on our site map.

Out of consideration for those who do not want to be exposed to drug use, we ask that the rest of the camp remain drug-free. We especially ask all participants to keep all sleeping areas, except the designated ones, free from drug consumption and behave in a considerate way, so everyone can rest well and recharge. These drug-free areas apply throughout the entire camp – including during the party night.
