“History is feasible“-TENT
This tent is run by the System Change Camp organization group:
“Memories are good (…) because they are a mirror that helps us understand the present and promises the future.”
From “The Old Man Antonio’s Stories” (p. 124) by Subcommandante Marcos
In this tent, we want to focus on the rich experiences and moments of different movements. At every point in history, people have asked themselves similar questions and dealt with the uncertainty of the future in different ways. Countless attempts, experiments, and experiences have given rise to a body of knowledge on which our movements are based and from which we can draw inspiration for our struggles.
Let us connect with all those who have fought before us and alongside us.
We are a group of people from the camp organization, mainly from the program working group and the networking group, who have tried to bring the camp motto to life by inviting people to the camp and organizing formats such as storytelling cafés. The content in this tent can at best highlight stories from movements and is by no means representative, but rather subject to our own biases, networks, narrow perspectives, and limited capacities as four white people, mainly from climate justice movements.
