Extinction Rebellion + Artivism-TENT // Two group tent

This tent will be run independently by the following groups:

The Artivism tent will be run by the newly founded Artivism Network together with Extinction Rebellion. In our program, we want to explore how art can bring about political and social change.
In various workshops, we want to teach you artistic skills and practices and show you how art and culture can help you regenerate and remain politically active in the long term.
Art on political topics often only takes place in clearly defined spaces, such as theater stages, exhibitions, or workshops. These places only reach a small part of society, have little to do with broad political practice, and are often academic and highly exclusive. Yet art and culture in particular can create barrier-free access to knowledge.
Artistic work also promotes creative thinking, which can be transferred to other areas. And in order to create utopias, we must break away from old patterns of thinking!
Together, we want to explore various questions:
How can art have more impact?
How can we bring artists and activists together?
How can we find new ways to fight for social and ecological justice?

Extinction Rebellion means uprising against extinction. We are a global movement that uses colorful and creative protests to repeatedly draw attention to the deadly dangers of climate catastrophe and the sixth mass extinction. Our goal is to bring about profound change in society and in our economic system. Our current “Entmilliardärisieren” (De-billionaire) campaign targets billionaires and highlights the links between climate destruction and excessive wealth.

At the System Change Camp, we are offering an art tent for the entire duration of the event in collaboration with the Artivism Network. There, you can be inspired by workshops led by experienced artists, create your own art, such as textile and screen printing, or network with our campaign.
