BEEHIVE DESIGN COLLECTIVE brings its art to the camp in three contributions

The world famous art and storytelling of the BEEHIVE DESIGN COLLECTIVE is taking their graphic story-telling across Europe!

In our workshops and presentations we use giant, portable murals of intricate pen and ink drawings to deconstruct complex issues of globalization, climate change, colonization and resource extraction. We strive to provoke discussion, raise hard questions, and share hopeful stories about actions big and small we can take to build a better world.

Water Always Wins: Exploring graphicbased Storytelling on Water Justice

Because Beehive Design Collective is based in the US, we would like to take this unique opportunity to exchange ideas and approaches from our work with activists, artists, and educators from the German climate movement. Our comrades at Klima*Kollektiv, together with artists from all over Germany, produce similar graphic campaigns for educational purposes as we do: “Rooted in Resistance” in 2018 or the latest works on the topic of “Water Justice” in 2024.

Since the beginning of the year, a number of water activists and artists have been working on a new major graphic campaign: WATER ALWAYS WINS! The goal is to create an educational tool to strengthen the global fight for our water against corporations, droughts, and floods.

We want to exchange experiences and explore designs and stories with all interested parties in order to create meaningful narratives and graphics on the topic of water struggles.
