Attac + Movement Academy-TENT // Two groups tent

This tent will be independently run by the following two groups:

1. Attac – Network for Global Justice

Whether it’s climate collapse or environmental destruction, growing social inequality worldwide, financial and economic crises, the rise of right-wing ideologies, or armed conflicts: we live in times of multifaceted, interwoven man-made crises. And those who have contributed least to the disaster are the most affected by it and have few means to protect themselves. Attac is committed to global justice and to overcoming the profit-driven, capitalist economic and social order.
We do this through actions, campaigns, and educational work. That is why we are also at the System Change Camp. From August 18 to 24, Attac will offer the following diverse activities in a shared tent with the Movement Academy: There will be an introductory workshop for clowns, adbusting, lectures on Namibia, hydrogen and indigenous rights, the history and future of the public sector, the social heat transition, blood coal from Colombia and struggles for water, basic income and climate, wealth taxation and Tax the Rich.

2. Bewegungsakademie e.V.

The Bewegungsakademie e.V. (Movement Academy) is a platform for various educational formats for people who see themselves as part of social movements for a good life for all. We offer various educational formats for this purpose: Online and offline offers, collective learning spaces and self-learning materials. We offer spaces to engage with the theoretical, practical and personal questions that we encounter when we deal with social change. Above all, we want to encourage people to perceive society and economy as changeable, to recognize personal and collective scope for action and to use it in a transformative way. At the System Change Camp, a meeting of the two annual courses Praxiswerkstatt ökonomischer Wandel (learning space on economic change) and Wirtschaft der Zukunft (economy of the future) will take place.
