Collectivization of the camp

In 2026, the SCC will be even more collective than in previous years: everyone at the camp is expected to contribute to making the camp run smoothly and be truly wonderful. In recent years, the SCC organizing team has sometimes been overwhelmed by all the tasks and responsibilities that come with running such a large camp. We want to learn from this and do better this year.
If everyone takes on a little bit, it won’t be too much for anyone, and at the same time, it’s a great opportunity to learn something new and collectively bring a wonderful place to life.

This can involve a lot of different things, such as:

• Taking on printing shifts
• Becoming a long-term volunteer
• Spontaneously designing spaces on your own
• Seeking solutions to conflicts yourself
• Supporting others when they need help
• Connecting people with one another
• And much more… Get creative!

We want to move away from the idea that the camp is organized solely by the camp organizers and toward the idea that the camp is a space we all help shape and for which we take joint responsibility. Together, we can show what solidarity in action looks like and make a little utopia a reality!
